MONITORS:

Personal Monitors

EFS offers rental of the popular BW MicroClip personal four-gas monitor. This sturdy, lightweight monitor has a long-lasting battery and can be attached to work clothing and worn for an entire work shift to provide constant monitoring of environmental hazards. It monitors for Oxygen levels, Combustible Gasses, Hydrogen Sulfide, and Carbon Monoxide and ensures workers are aware of any changes in the quality of the air they’re working in.

Fixed Monitors

RAE Systems fixed gas detection monitors

The RAEGuard LEL is a permanently mounted (fixed) catalytic bead combustible gas detector/transmitter that operates from a 9 to 36 VDC power source and provides an analog (4 to 20mA) output in the range of 0 to 100% LEL combustible gas. Housed in an explosion-proof enclosure, the RAEGuard LEL is equipped with a local digital display of the gas concentration and function keys for performing calibration. The RAEGuard LEL can be operated with a standard 4 to 20mA controller or as a stand-alone sensor module.

The RAEGuard EC is a permanently mounted (fixed) toxic gas or oxygen sensor/transmitter that operates from a 9 to 36 VDC power source and provides an analog (4 to 20mA) signal output. Housed in an explosion-proof enclosure, the RAEGuard EC is equipped with a local digital display of the gas concentration and function keys for performing calibration. The RAEGuard EC is operated with a standard 4 to 20mA/RS-485 controller or as a stand-alone sensor module.

The RAEGuard PID is a permanently mounted (fixed) Photoionization Detector (PID) transmitter that operates from a 9 to 36 VDC power source and provides an analog (4-20 mA) signal output in three fullscale ranges of 20 ppm, 100 ppm, or 1,000 ppm isobutylene equivalent. Housed in an explosion-proof enclosure, the RAEGuard PID is equipped with a local digital display of the gas concentration and functional keys for performing calibration.

The FMC-60 is a multi-channel controller that has been designed to operate in the full range of environments from commercial premises through to heavy industrial applications which may require hazardous area sensing.

The FMC-60 system operates on a 4 core (addressable) or 2/3 core (direct) cable network and has the capacity to monitor up to 64 addressable and 16 direct sensors of various gas types.

Each gas sensor continuously monitors the atmosphere, reporting any hazardous conditions to the control unit, for display by the alpha numeric screen indicating the reporting sensor, gas type, concentration and alarm status. Alarm levels that are exceeded will automatically activate a variety of signal outputs including analogue/digital data and user selectable relays.

Portable Monitors

Expert Fire and Safety can also provide rental of the industry standard Altair 5x Gas Monitor, capable of detecting up to 6 configurable gasses. The Altair 5x includes a sample pump, tubing, and sample probe, allowing workers and safety personnel to sample confined spaces and hazardous areas prior to entry, sniff for combustible gasses around vehicles, equipment, within process units, and in work areas. The Altair 5x can provide constant monitoring of any confined work space and will sound the alarm if any condition begins to change.

Calibration Systems & Equipment

Colorimetric Tubes

RAE Systems Colorimetric Tubes

RAE Systems colorimetric gas detection tubes enable quick, on-the-spot measurement of a wide range of toxic and combustible gases and vapors. RAE Systems tubes are easy to read, and provide a sharp, clear color change directly corresponding to the concentration of gas present. RAE Systems tubes are compatible with the RAE Systems piston hand pump, a reliable way to draw samples of an exact volume required for the most accurate measurements.
